Hickok’s Hotel

685 Main Street (605) 578-2222 Website

Hickok’s is located towards the southern end of downtown.  They now expanded into the former Cody’s property next door.

Hickok’s Video Table Games

Hickok’s offers three video version of table games.  There are two Shuffle Master video blackjack machines that stay on all 17’s, allow double anything, double after the split and surrender. There is also a Three Card Poker machine that does not pay an ante bonus. Each game offers a $1 minimum bet.  Hickok’s also offers an old style hotel, arcade, and 24 hour pizza.

Hickok’s Hotel

Hickok’s remodeled their 100 year old hotel in 2006.  Hickok’s offers several room options.  These include standard two queen rooms all the way up to suites.  Smoking rooms are also available.  Room rates start at $79 off season weekday, to $129 weekend off season.  In the summer, rates start at $89 weekday and $149 weekend.

Hickok’s Video Poker

Hickok’s video poker is as bad as it gets. It is only slightly better than the best video lottery games.  The best game is 15/10 Deuces Wild (94.82%).  Other dismal games include 10/8/5 Bonus Poker (94.18%), 6/5 Jacks or Better (95.5%), 6/5 Double Double Bonus (94.7%) and Joker Poker (94.27%).

Player’s Club and Promotions

Hickok’s offers no published promotions and no player’s club.  This makes their games even worse than they are compared to other casinos with bad video poker.  This might make Hickok’s one of the worst places to play video poker and slot machines in Deadwood.  If you decide to stay in one of their remodeled hotel rooms, give your gambling action to one of the neighboring casinos with better odds.
